In less than 24 hours I read about:
1.) A missing toddler who was reported gone by his mother who put him to bed at 10:30 at night and found him missing at 11:00 a.m. when she awoke. It late turned out she killed him. Because he cried.
2.) A couple who starved their baby for 14 months so that she wouldn't become "obese." At four months old she still weighed less than her birth weight. At 14 months she had gained 5 pounds. They face criminal charges and could each spend (gasp!) a year and a half in prison.
3.) A couple who put a wire on their disabled daughter to prove she was abused by her teacher and the teacher's aide after complaining to the superintendent and being told their daughter was lying.
4.) Grrr.
